The Heat were one game over.500 three times but only reached the.500 mark once since January 27 and were done in by losing four straight before Tuesday. Yet given Wade's iconic status in a community in which he's spent the bulk of his career, it's not surprising that there are those who believe that price doesn't matter under these circumstances.

Dwyane Wade ended his storied career with a triple-double of 25 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists Wednesday night as the visiting Miami Heat were dealt a 113-94 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, who clinched sixth place in the Eastern Conference. The legendary National Basketball Association player is retiring following the regular season.

Wade had already marked his last home appearance with a 30-point game earlier in the week. "After he hit that game-winner and the celebration in the arena, I went back in the locker room". There were tribute videos, tears, hugs and a scathing chant directed at Paul Pierce, but he still had one more game to play on the road. He made 10 of 28 shots, and his last points were a 3-pointer with 2:48 remaining. It was the Nets' ninth sellout of the season. It's a fun and touching tradition, because Wade doesn't just get souvenirs from his fellow players, he also gives a part of himself to them.

Midengine Chevrolet Corvette to be shown in July
Expect the new Corvette to cost around $62,000 to start, an increase of around $5000 compared to the C7 Stingray's starting price of $56,995.

"Special night", Nets coach Kenny Atkinson said.

With his tenacious attitude on the hard court, Wade has compiled an impressive list of accolades in the pros - three-time champion, 13-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA First Team, and one-time scoring champion.

He was loudly cheered from the moment he emerged alone from the tunnel for pregame layups.
