I'm very comfortable with this golf course.

Like all Masters champions, fellow Spaniard Sergio Garcia became an honorary member with his triumph in 2017, a win that perhaps afforded him a sneak peak behind the mystique spawned by the secrecy that surrounds the club.

It's no secret that Mickelson likes to play his way into major form; he's played the week before the Masters 10 of the past 11 years.

"I'm just as curious as anybody", he said.

"It proved to me that I could win again", Woods said.

Three of those hopefuls boast previous major experience: Zhang as the youngest player to ever compete in a US Open (2012, when he was 14), Guan as a 14-year-old at the 2013 Masters and Jin at the 2016 Masters.

An Augusta National victory by the revitalised McIlroy would make the world No.3 just the sixth golfer to complete a career grand slam. "I put myself there with chances on the back nine on various Sundays and just haven't done it".

"I don't really need to win again".

Patrons at the Masters can easily find themselves walking the course alongside a member but they will be hard-pressed to get any of those wearing Green Jackets to open up about one of the more exclusive clubs on the planet.

Arsenal investigate alleged racist abuse of Koulibaly
The Serie A side have a stiff challenge in next week's return in Naples after they went down on Thursday due to an Aaron Ramsey strike and a Kalidou Koulibaly own goal.

McIlroy has a spring in his step this week, having won The Players Championship at Sawgrass in the build up and recording seven top-10 finishes this year. He's been forced to watch on as a host of players from his era have been showered in major success, instead settling for eight top-5 finishes, four of which were accumulated consecutively in 2014, while at last year's Masters he finished one shot behind victor Patrick Reed.

But the 43-year-old has been rejuvenated since capping a remarkable comeback by winning the Tour Championship in Atlanta at the end of last season. A year later, reaction to the event was a major source of interest.

"I feel my game is in a good spot and I feel pretty confident this year how I've been playing". But by promoting women amateurs, the future stars of the Ladies Professional Golf Association, we'd like to think that that is something that's going to benefit them, as well, and I think that the LPGA would agree.

The Masters is the second-largest purse of the four major championships, with the the US Open offering the largest purse in golf at $12 million.

Augusta National has always been a happy place for Woods who along with his four wins has been runner-up twice with a third and three fourth-place finishes.

Then there's the powerful Johnson himself, a two-time victor already this year with a best of fourth at Augusta.

"I get a rush out of pulling off shots sometimes I've only dreamed of pulling off".

"It's electric. I've heard it and I've felt it and it's exciting to be part of", added Woods.
