Duke freshman forward RJ Barrett has announced that he will enter his name in the 2019 NBA Draft.

"It was unbelievable to play for Coach K, play for the brotherhood", Barrett said in a video posted to his Twitter and Instagram accounts. "I'm looking forward to coming back and supporting the Blue Devils in any way I can".

In many mock drafts, R.J. Barrett is projected as the No. 2 or No. 3 pick in June's NBA Draft.

In a lot of ways, this was the worst kept secret in the world. For players, it is also a time of evaluation on whether or not to return to college or test the NBA Draft waters.

This is what the "one-and-done" has wrought college basketball, superstar talent that plays only one season of college ball, and then immediately turn pro.

The freshman averaged 7.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists and recorded just the program's fourth triple double with 21 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists against NC State on February 16.

Williamson and classmate Cam Reddish have not yet announced their plans for next season.

It didn't take long for others to notice the 6-7 freshman as he put up 33 points in 32 minutes during Duke's first game of the season against Kentucky, breaking the record for most points made by a freshman in his debut. The deadline to pull out of the draft is May 29. The NBA's fast-paced game fits in perfectly with Barrett's skillset as the young Canadian excels at attacking the basket. The Blue Devils bested Florida State to win the ACC Tournament and advanced to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament, where they were defeated by Michigan State.
