Williams filed the a petition to divorce her husband of more than 20 years, Kevin Hunter, in New Jersey on Thursday morning, according to a friend of the talk show host. Wendy is already making small moves to show she's serious since she ditched her wedding ring during today's taping.

In March, it was widely reported that Hunter had fathered a child with another woman, Sharina Hudson and pictures of the two even surfaced showing the duo lounging on what appeared to look like a beach vacay.

Welp, as you know, Hunter's infidelity wasn't the only thing rumored to be wrong with Williams and Hunter's marriage.

The news comes after she announced on her show last month that she was living in a sober house.

The couple have one son.

That is why the request today is to June 30 in order that we can leave as soon as possible, ' he told the BBC Radio 4 Today programme.

"I'm still very much in love with my husband", she began before pointing at her wedding ring.

Wendy has not publicly addressed the news. In her 2004 autobiography, "Wendy's Got the Heat", Williams opened up about discovering, in 2001, that Hunter was having an affair. "I want to shout-out to my husband". A source told Page Six at the time that it was challenging because "they are so tangled up together in business, but a split was necessary because Wendy's "health is at stake".

A representative for the Wendy Williams Show released the following statement: "Wendy and her family have been a part of Debmar-Mercury for over 10 years, ".

But the 56-year old remained stone faced saying that her marriage was as strong as its ever been. After the two married in November 1997, they welcomed their child Kevin Hunter Jr. in 2000. "She didn't give a real reason for canceling, and she did it only hours before the show tapes, so production was left scrambling to fill her spot. They went to counseling but Kevin [Hunter] just kept lying to her". "Only a couple of the audience members asked me [about it]", she said before adding, "I felt bad".
