Texas man calls professionals for 'few' snakes under house; 45 removed

Big Country Snake Removal posted the video Sunday of what employees found under the house when they showed up.

The company says there were high winds in the area and the homeowner discovered the snakes after looking underneath his home. He saw a few snakes, quickly crawled out and contacted the snake removal company.

A snake removal company in Texas pulled dozens of rattlesnakes from underneath a house in the city of Albany after the homeowner reported seeing just a few of them.

When everything was said and done a total of 45 snakes (some appearing VERY IRRITATED by the interruption) were found and removed.

The family told the company owners they usually see a few snakes every year but didn't expect that their home could be a rattlesnake den.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates there are about 7,000 to 8,000 venomous snake bites annually in the US with an average of five of them fatal. "The majority of bites result from people taking unnecessary or foolish risks with venomous snakes".

Hawkins said the snakes appeared to have entered through a gap six inches wide and three inches tall.
