'A total loser!': Donald Trump escalates feud with Kellyanne Conway's husband

"He's a whack job".

"I barely know him, but just take a look", Trump added on Twitter, "a stone cold LOSER & husband from hell!"

I'm seeing a massive shift among the chatterati this afternoon towards the theory that this is all kabuki by the Conways, mainly I think because the alternative is just too awkward and painful to contemplate.

"He called George Conway the 'husband from hell, '" Borger said.

Mr Conway, a prominent conservative lawyer, has been a frequent critic of the president in recent months, even while his wife goes on television to defend her boss.

"Don't play psychiatrist any more than George should be", she continued.

Scarborough responded to Lewis's tweet by pointing out that Trump was merely "trying" to emasculate Conway's husband and said George Conway will always come out on top.

The caustic exchanges also drew a response from Kellyanne Conway, the longtime Republican pollster who served as Trump's third campaign manager before joining the administration as a counsellor to the president. "But you think he shouldn't respond when somebody, a non-medical professional accuses him of having a mental disorder?"

The third season trailer for Stranger Things has landed
The sci-fi show had already released a teaser trailer, with a commercial for a new mall in Hawkins, Ind., called Starcourt Mall. And in case you still didn't get the theme, the trailer is dubbed with The Who's "Baba O'Riley" aka "Teenage Wasteland".

But we wouldn't put our money on things staying that way - because now Trump is getting personally involved, and as we know when Trump takes a hand in the business, it's a guaranteed failure. Nuts." He added: "You seem determined to prove my point.

"Congratulations! You just guaranteed that millions of more people are going to learn about narcissistic personality disorder and malignant narcissism!"

Following Trump's 50-plus tweets (and retweets) over the weekend, George Conway tweeted out the definitions of narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. "Good for you! #NarcissisticPersonalityDisorder", he wrote on his Twitter account.

Yesterday, Conway said his tweets questioning the President's mental health were aimed in part at avoiding conflicts with his wife.

Of all the brawls Trump has waded into, his back-and-forth with Conway, a lawyer who specializes in litigation, has been one of the more eyebrow-raising in Washington. That's basically it. Frankly, it's so I don't end up screaming at her about it.

But she also said Trump has a "pot kettle" issue by calling George the "husband from hell".

I know this story is all the rage again - due to escalations on both sides, and the media's voracious appetite for covering the soap opera-esque drama - but I must admit I feel nearly totally ambivalent about it.
