One will have to visit the official Slack site and sign-up for the beta program on iOS or Android.

Now, Workplace collaboration app Slack is testing a dark mode feature for users. If you are not a beta tester, you can not access it yet.

At this point in time, the app doesn't offer a feature that makes it so it automatically switches between the dark/light themes based on the time of the day. It might also have a setting that can force dark mode to apps that do not have this style.

"Dark mode isn't available on our desktop app right now, but we're working on it. Stay tuned for a brighter, darker future", the company tweeted.

Swipe left to open the sidebar and head to Settings. You may be prompted to restart the app depending on the OS you are using. If you're using Slack beta then you can download the update from the Google Play Store or iTunes Store. After approval, you need to refresh the app.
