Shortly after announcing their happy news, former Major League Baseball player Jose Canseco blasted A-Rod on Twitter with claims that he is cheating on the "My Love Don't Cost a Thing" singer.

He then claimed he was with his ex-wife a few months ago when Rodriguez called her on the phone.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez's family and friends were not surprised by their recent engagement.

Via Twitter, Canseco said, "Alex Rodriguez stop being a piece of s**t stop cheating on Jennifer Lopez".

But the ex-Oakland A's star wasn't done there.

Canseco also offered to settle his score with Rodriguez in a boxing ring/Octagon, saying, "Alex Rodriguez I challenge you to a boxing match or an MMA match anytime you want". He was sentenced to one-year probation as a result. The World of Dance host shares 11-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez has two daughters, Natasha, 14, and Ella, 10, with his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis. He's also fond of tweeting about aliens teaching people to time travel and how he plans to search for Bigfoot.

Rodriguez didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by Fox News.

Canseco finished up the Twitter rant by challenging A-Rod to a fight. In the Instagram post announcing her engagement, Jennifer only tagged one person: Ellen DeGeneres. The two had shared on social media to much fanfare that they had gotten engaged. To which he had a great response and wrote back, "I'm glad I didn't have to wait 16 years for this yes".
