We guess it is to prevent next week's product launch from being too crowded. The pricing of the tablet has been set at Euro 210 (around Rs. 17,000) for the Wi-Fi-only model and Euro 270 (around Rs. 22,000) for the LTE variant, and it will be available in Germany starting April 5, 2019. As such, the Tab S5e is priced accordingly. It can be availed in three colour options - Silver, Black and Gold. "With an incredibly thin 5.5mm sleek metal body, and weighing only 400g, the Tab S5e is ultra-portable, durable, and created to integrate seamlessly into your everyday lifestyle", a Samsung official said. The device sports a single 8MP rear camera and a 5MP shooter on the front. Samsung says the speakers have auto rotate stereo technology that automatically determines if you are holding the tablet in portrait or landscape mode. The device runs the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. It also integrates Bixby (Bixby 2.0) Voice functionality so you can smartly and more conveniently interact with your tablet. The tablet also packs 7,040 mAh battery with support for fast charging. The S5e also features Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, GPS and also houses a fingerprint scanner (embedded in the power key), accelerometer, hall sensor and RGB light sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e goes up for pre-order on March 14 starting from US$400 (about US$250 less than the Tab S4 as a point of comparison). Whereas, the LTE variant will start at 479 Euros (approximately Rs 38,600).

Carriers will have LTE-enabled versions later on this year.

The tablet will have an optional keyboard sleeve that connects via pogo pins if you need to use it for some light work. With the advent of taller displays and foldable smartphones, Samsung wants to deliver a solid experience for this range of devices with its proprietary software.

Oscar organisers scrap plan to award four Oscars in commercial breaks
Previous ceremonies have gone on for more than four hours and last year's broadcast had an all-time low of 26.5 million viewers. Roma director Alfonso Cuaron challenged the decision to present the awards for cinematography and editing during ad breaks.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is powered by a Snapdragon 670 chipset, which isnt flagship material but should still do decently. The display is 10.5-inches with thin bezels on all four sides, so it's not as big as other 10-inch tablets on the market.

It is the first Samsung tablet equipped with the new Bixby 2.0 and can be used as a hub to control smart home devices.

For selfies and video calls, there's a 5-megapixel camera up front while the back features an 8-megapixel shooter.

The operating system is Android 9 Pie with One UI interface. On the other hand, sales of the affordable Tab A 10.1 will commence starting April 5 in Germany.
