The announcement brings an abrupt end to a hugely successful partnership that lasted a little over a year.

Despite an apparent winning formula on court, Osaka has split with German national Bajin, although the twenty-one-year-old player did hint the two had amicably parted ways.

"I will no longer be working together with Sascha", Osaka wrote.

Thank you Naomi I wish you nothing but the best as well.

Naomi Osaka, victor of the past two grand slam tournaments, has parted ways with her coach Sascha Bajin. He is a former hitting partner of Grand Slam champions Serena Williams, Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Wozniacki.

At least 20 Guard personnel killed in Iran bombing
Jundallah, a Sunni extremist group whose members have joined Jaish al-Adl, claimed responsibility for that attack. Iranian press agency Fars reported 41 casualties, both military and civilian.

'I wish you nothing but the best as well, ' he responded.

"Thank you for letting me be part of this", Bajin tweeted in reply.

Based in the United States, Osaka linked up with Bajin in late 2017 and enjoyed a breakthrough year, shooting from 72 in the world to the top of the women's rankings.

Osaka won her first WTA title at the BNP Paribas Open, last March, following which she went on to clinch 2018 US Open title and 2019 Australian Open.During the off-season, Bajin was awarded the WTA Coach of the Year award.

Those back-to-back victories made Osaka the first woman to win two major titles in a row since Williams picked up four straight in 2014-15.
