Liverpool could offer Milner to Leeds in bid to sign Clarke

Leeds United winger Jack Clarke is receiving treatment in hospital after collapsing during his side's 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough. Play was then halted towards the end of the game as paramedics responded to a situation on the Leeds bench and Clarke was then taken down the tunnel on a stretcher.

He said on his official Twitter page: "Big thanks to the Middlesbrough medical team and a special mention to Leeds United's Rob Price (head of medicine and performance) for today!"

Clarke has since been released but chief executive Angus Kinnear has informed fans of the decision taken by the club.

He said: "What we know is that he didn't feel well".

That win puts Leeds top of the Championship by just a point, but Norwich can overtake them by avoiding defeat in the "Old Farm derby" tomorrow afternoon against Ipswich. "He was taken back into the dressing room, where he seemed to have overcome the problem but he's gone to hospital now to see if everything is alright". Sheffield United are within touching distance of that final automatic promotion place, however, and are only three points behind Leeds.
