Orlando Apollos rout Atlanta in AAF debut, 40

Fans will notice the Alliance of American Football is offering a similar game to the NFL with a few slight tweaks. In their place: a female on-field official, side judge Robin DeLorenzo, and three female assistant coaches elsewhere in the league. They'll have one possession to score a touchdown, then attempt a two-point conversion. "They saw enough good plays, especially after the first quarter".

Spurrier is coaching an Orlando team that features a bunch of former college football players from the state of Florida.

He didn't mention San Antonio's defunct Toros, Wings, Charros, Gunslingers, Riders, Texans or Matadors, all but forgotten in the alphabet soup (WLAF, USFL, AFA, etc.) of failed football leagues.

Kickoffs have been completely taken out of the game and scrimmage will start from each team's own 25-yard line.

"Opportunity" is the idea that the AAF was founded on. The Express are led by head coach Mike Singletary, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame linebacker will be looking to mold Memphis' defense to his liking. No defensive player may rush from a position of more than two yards outside the widest offensive lineman and more than five yards from the line of scrimmage. For those of us already in withdrawals from the lack of Pittsburgh Steelers' football, it might be a nice filler. While the San Antonio Commanders and San Diego Fleet game left some to be desired in scoring, there was a lot of positive things to pull from the way the game played out.

NFL Draft: Complete list of invitees for NFL Scouting Combine
We've officially reached the second month of draft season, which means the 2019 NFL Combine is right around the corner. Joining Murray in Indianapolis will be six offensive teammates and kicker/punter Austin Seibert .

And fans - at least those in Orlando, Florida, who showed up in the rain for Steve Spurrier's debut in the new league Saturday night - are eager to buy.

For the Arizona Hotshots, that means that the likes of former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Trevor Knight, as well as Pac-12 alums like Scooby Wright III, Josh Huff and Thomas Durante are all featured on the roster.

Ebersol told Fox Business that the AAF plans to roll out new features that will reward users for guessing the correct play or outcome, with points that can be exchanged for cash prizes and other perks.

And while the AAF can be excited about competing head-to-head with a primetime National Basketball Association game, it's important to keep certain factors in mind. Ratings will be harder when the games are on CBS Sports Network and not CBS in primetime.
