Abraham-Joseph is an "unlawfully present United Kingdom national" who came to the USA in July 2005 on a visa that expired a year later, Cox said. Cops then found a loaded glock in the glove box of the vehicle which had an extended magazine. There was also a styrofoam cup containing an unknown substance.

The hip-hop mogul reached out to secure support after his friend was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement over the weekend, who said they had "arrested unlawfully present United Kingdom national Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph AKA "21 Savage" during a targeted operation with federal and local law enforcement partners" because he is "unlawfully present in the US and also a convicted felon". This media house does not correct any spelling or grammatical error within press releases and commentaries.

The firearm was allegedly listed in the inventory section of the police report. The 26-year-old rapper's lawyer notes that Abraham-Joseph's family overstayed a July 2005 visa.

The attorney hired by Jay, Alex Spiro, also released a statement to TMZ.

He has applied for a U visa, designed for victims of crime who have suffered "substantial abuse" in the USA, after his lawyers said he survived a shooting in 2013.

The hip-hop mogul calls the arrest and detention of the "Bank Account" rapper "an absolute travesty" ... and points out his U Visa application has been pending for years. His team earlier had said it was filed due to his experience as a 'victim of a deadly shooting in 2013'.

"In addition to being a successful recording artist, 21 deserves to be reunited with his children immediately."

Abraham-Joseph has been placed into removal proceedings, ICE said.

The 26-year-old British national moved to the U.S. when he was 12 years old, and he is the father of three children who are American citizens.

Abraham-Joseph is the father of three children born in the USA and is known in his longtime home of Atlanta for supporting local community projects, such as an annual school supply giveaway at the beginning of the school year.
