It stars Naomi Watts, Naomi Ackie and Denise Gough. It is rumoured to be titled The Long Night, though there is no official title yet.

Only a few more months before April 14th, the broadcast date for the first episode of season 8 of Game of Thrones.

"Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world's descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour", the show's official description reads.

HBO programming president Casey Bloys on Feb 4 disclosed that the Game of Thrones prequel will begin production in early summer, reported EW.

Sixers trade former No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz to Magic
The Philadelphia 76ers traded 2017 No. 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz to the Orlando Magic on Thursday. Wow, I'm not going to lie, that's a pretty solid haul.

There are also a couple of shots of Queen Cersei as she continues to plot her course to remain on the Iron Throne while also carrying a child courtesy of her brother Jamie.

Daenerys and Jon Snow (Kit Harington) are also the only two characters who get to be in photos together right now, confirming that the, ahem, bond they established at the end of Season 7 remains intact. Clarke has previously said on record, "There's lots of different endings that could happen; I think we're doing all of them and we aren't being told which is actually what's going to happen". S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders, Jessica Jones) will direct the pilot.

This is especially more likely because all the armies will reportedly be converging at King's Landing.

With Game of Thrones coming to a close after its upcoming eighth season, HBO is looking to capitalize on its success and expand upon the series developed by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.
