Give postal workers a break, put a hold on mail

"There may be portions of Kansas that will not receive mail delivery tomorrow", Stacy Hopwood wrote in a text to KAKE News Anchor Greg Miller Tuesday night.

But in some parts of Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota, mail services will be suspended on Wednesday.

On its website it listed 3-digit ZIP code locations where mail service is suspended.

Local offices will still be open, but operations may be limited. Schools across the city have already canceled classes.

That wealth has become a point of contention with Schultz's Democratic rivals, whose policies he has sharply criticized this week. The president's tasteful you-rent-in-the-building-I-own joke was hardly the meanest comment pointed toward Schultz on Monday.

Polar Vortex Jayden is expected to bring temperatures as low as 35 degrees below zero, and wind chills as low as 65 degrees below zero, according to the National Weather Service.

The suspension of delivery service also includes western Wisconsin, Iowa and western IL.

In the affected areas, the USPS said the cold temps will prevent pickup from businesses, collection boxes and residential and commercial package pick-up services.
