Winter storm warning extended in New Jersey counties

Alamance, Guilford and Forsyth are among several counties under a winter storm warning Saturday. The ice is expected to last through midday Sunday, with another round of snow predicted for Sunday evening north of USA 64.

The snowfall is expected to finally taper off for good before midnight, but not before leaving behind 3-5 inches in parts of South Jersey and DE and 2-3 inches in Philadelphia and portions of the surrounding counties. Cloud cover returns mid week with our next frontal system which appears to be dry, but will be bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air for Thursday.

Areas of northwest IN, including Michigan City and Gary, reported between 4 and 6 inches of fresh snow on Saturday, the weather service said.

AccuWeather reports 2-4 inches of snow is expected, causing roads to be covered and visibilities to be limited. The high temperature Sunday is expected to be 40 degrees.
