Newcastle have now lost 10 in a row away to the division's established top six, but they put up a good fight in West London, levelling up through Ciaran Clark after Pedro opened the scoring, only for Willian to win the match for Chelsea. "We'll win against some teams, especially in the bottom half".

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri refused to discuss Willian's future at Stamford amid reports linking him with Barcelona.

"It's got nothing to do with business dealings I've got with his company", said Ferdinand, whose Five brand is available to buy at Sports Direct, a sports-goods retailer founded by Ashley. We slept for 20, 25 minutes, so at the end of the first half, we were in trouble. "I can not do anything more". It is hard to understand why we stopped. Today we couldn't do that but we have the quality to do it in the next games.

"But next week, when we're playing against a team who are in and around us, they're the ones where we definitely need to be picking the points up".

But it took only nine minutes for the Blues to go in front as Newcastle's five-man defence was carved open easily.

Willian has since starred for the Blues against Newcastle United where he scored a sublime curling goal which proved to be the victor and speaking after the game, Sarri reiterated the importance of the winger.

1 dead, 14 treated following mass overdose at Chico home
Police officers in Chico County carry Naloxone, a medicine used to reverse overdoses, which they gave to the surviving victims. In addition to that, two Chico police officers were taken to the hospital after they said they started to feel sick.

Chelsea dominated possession in the first half-hour, but they switched off at the back as Newcastle nearly snatched an equaliser.

It was a warning that Sarri's men failed to heed and in the 40th minute Newcastle were level.

Sarri added: "With Eden as a striker we need wingers".

"The most important thing is to take it game by game".

With frustration mounting, a misplaced pass by Jorginho triggered angry moans from Chelsea fans, who booed the team off at half-time.

Teed up by Hazard at last making an incisive burst, Willian cut back inside two Newcastle defenders on the left side of the area before curling a masterful finish into the far corner.
