"Some moderate Democrats have privately raised concerns that they'll be targeted by the former bartender-turned-progressive icon, whose willingness to challenge her party's establishment propelled her to Congress and the national spotlight", Politico said.

Last week, in an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, newly-elected Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) proposed a 60-70 percent marginal tax on income above $10 million, to finance a transition to renewable energy.

What did Ocasio-Cortez say?

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the high-profile new Congresswoman from New York's 14th District, surprised comic book fans this morning by responding to critics by quoting Watchmen at them on Twitter. "We just don't need sniping in our Democratic Caucus". The 29-year-old's zealous confrontations with more senior lawmakers, which she appears to have dialed back in recent weeks, have drawn the consternation of those concerned about the potential for her to splinter the party.

Ivanka Trump 'in the running to become World Bank President'
The US prevailed in selecting its preferred candidate over challengers from Nigeria and Colombia, but the process was grueling. Ivanka Trump worked with the World Bank to help launch a $350 million women's entrepreneurship fund in 2017.

But in a new Politico report, some of Ocasio-Cortez's fellow Democrats similarly expressed a distaste for her bucking tradition and speaking straight when asked pointed questions, regardless of whose feathers are rustled.

"This is basic stuff, especially if you hold yourself out to be the champion of workers", the campaign operative said.

She also criticized POLITICO for publishing a story suggesting she considered backing a primary opponent against rising star Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.), who many believe could become the first black speaker.

"I think that there's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right", she told host Anderson Cooper. He frequently voted along Republican ideology lines, and post-retirement from the Senate, served as head counsel for the white collar criminal defense and investigations practice at a law firm that did extensive work for Donald Trump and then later failed to mention that as a conflict of interest when necessary.
