According to Mundo Deportivo, United have contacted Coutinho's agents to ask about his situation and admit they would be "very interested" in signing him.

He's now played 34 at the time of writing, meaning the first payment has already been triggered - while Barca have already paid £4.4 million after qualifying for this season's Champions League and will do so again if they are in Europe's premier competition again next year as expected.

Philippe Coutinho is demanding an explanation from Barcelona management over the way he's been treated by coach Ernesto Valverde.

The Catalans signed Coutinho in January 2018 in a deal valued around £142 million in a bid to fill the void his countryman left following his mega move to the French League.

The Sun might die in 10 billion years' time, and when it does, according to scientists, it will turn into a "crystal ball". This is due to a phase transition during their lifecycle similar to water turning into ice, but at higher temperatures.

Coutinho is unsurprisingly disappointed with how things are going.

Coutinho is said to have reached rock bottom with the Spanish side after he's fallen down the pecking order and is unhappy with his lack of minutes on the pitch. But already the player's future is in doubt after the latest report suggests he could now be moved on in the summer.

Relations between PSG and Barca have been tense since Neymar's move to the Parc des Princes though. And that has led to speculation that Manchester United could look to bring him back to the Premier League.

With Ander Herrera deep in contract talks and Philippe Coutinho said to be a target, here are Saturday's Manchester United transfer rumours. But Barcelona will only listen to offers that will see them pocket the same fee they paid for the player, reports Calcio Mercato. Also the Red Devils are yet to announce who the next manager will be and before signing the Brazilian they should get a nod from the boss.
