Meghan Markle reveals her clever trick to stay calm at royal wedding

Meghan Markle is "miserable" and "stressed" in her new role as the Duchess of Sussex, US reports have claimed.

A royal insider has refuted reports that Meghan Markle is seen as "difficult" by staff, revealing that she is in fact "well-liked".

She also is now a patron of The National Theatre, The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) and Mayhew.

Smart Works provides coaching and clothing to unemployed women to help them get back on their feet.

The duchess will visit Smart Works later Thursday and is expected to call on the other three charities over the coming weeks, the palace said in a statement.

As the announcement of Meghan's new patronage was made, it was revealed that the Duchess of Sussex had visited the organisation several times over the a year ago, working with numerous women approaching the organisation for support and seeing them go on to succeed.

"The Duchess of Sussex will become Patron of four organisations that reflect the causes and issues with which she has always been associated including the arts, access to education, support for women and animal welfare", the tweet read.

As for her other two official new royal patron roles, it looks like they're uniquely suited to Markle's causes, as the Palace puts it.

Arriving at the women's charity Thursday morning, the mum-to-be who is thought to be seven or eight months pregnant definitely had a glow about her and left her make-up minimal and her hair in a signature low bun.

And it's claimed that Prince Harry feels "responsible for Meghan being so miserable".

The announcement is a major milestone for the American-born former actress, outlining the first steps of her public life as a member of the monarchy. The couple also plan to move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Estate, about 30 miles from London.
