Former Neighbours actor faces indecent assault charges

Prominent actor and the former lead actor of Seven's Doctor Blake Mysteries, Craig McLachlan, has been charged by Victoria Police for a number of indecent assault offences, the ABC is reporting.

On that occasion Scundi said: "He pushed his pelvis into me and moved around so I could feel his penis against my body", It is understood that another actress on the same production has also complained to police about McLachlan indecently assaulting her during the 2014 Rocky Horror season.

Along the way he forged a successful career in musical theatre, appearing in productions of Grease, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Chicago and the Australian production of the Rocky Horror Show as Frank-N-Furter, for which he won the Helpmann Award for Best Male Actor in a Musical. McLachlan gain prominence in the late 1980s for his role in Neighbours as Henry Ramsay, the brother of Charlene - who was played by Kylie Minogue - and went on to become one of Australia's most popular television stars.

In December, he had a minor win in his defamation case, after a judge rejected a bid to include three new complaints about his time on TV series The Doctor Blake Mysteries. He has been married to Karen Williams (1986) and Rachel Friend (1998-99).
