The Committee of Administrators appointed to oversee day-to-day operations of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Vinod Rai recommended a two-ODI ban on Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul for their controversial remarks on women in a TV show but fellow member Diana Edulji has referred the matter to the BCCI's legal cell.

It seems the apology and clarification to the show cause notice served by the BCCI will not guide Hardik Pandya out of troubled waters. "They have [been] given 24 hours to give an explanation".

Taking to Twitter, Pandy posted, "After reflecting on my comments on Koffee with Karan, I would like to apologise to everyone concerned who I may have hurt in any way". Earlier on Wednesday, the BCCI issued a show cause notice against Pandya and KL Rahul.

"I made an appearance on the chat show where I have made certain statements without realising that these could be disrespectful and offend sensitivities of viewers for which I am sincerely regretful", he wrote in his response, which is in PTI's possession. There was still no information if Rahul has responded.

Raptors sign former Golden State Warriors guard Patrick McCaw
Eventually, he agreed to a two-year, $6M deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers , but only after sitting out until late December. The Raptors , who waived Lorenzo Brown on Monday, will welcome McCaw as a depth piece.

Keeping with the nature of the show, host Karan Johar asked the cricketers about their personal lives.

The all-rounder went on to say that he got carried away with the format of the show and he did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments. "Exhausted of this boys will be boys attitude", Ekta Chauhan, a Twitter user, wrote. But Karan Johar made an exception by calling two famous stars from the cricketing world. As soon as the episode was aired, Twitter called out the cricketer for his "misogynistic" and "creepy" approach towards women. Hardik Pandya revealed that he even informed his parents that he lost his virginity by telling them, "Aaj mai kar ke aaya".

When asked why he wouldn't ask women's names at a club, he said that he likes to 'watch and observe how they move'. "I'm little from the black side so I need to see how they move". India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and became the first Asian team to win a Test series in Australia.

He is also part of the 16-man squad for three-match ODI series against Australia starting January 12.
