Lakers' fingers being pointed everywhere without LeBron James

Ball agreed that he needed to step up his game in James' absence.

The Lakers made a concerted effort to hold onto Ingram over the offseason instead of trading him for an established star like Kawhi Leonard.

James suffered the injury on December 25 when the Lakers beat defending National Basketball Association champion Golden State, 127-101.

That date against the Warriors was certainly circled on their calendars and they brought it that night. Against a Minnesota team also suffering some injuries, the Lakers have their best chance for a win on this two-game trip. They'll definitely be without LeBron James for another week and could be without Kyle Kuzma tomorrow. The Lakers defeated the reigning champs in impressive fashion, 127-101.

The 34-year-old picked up the injury midway through the third quarter of the Lakers' over the Warriors, and underwent an MRI scan the following day.

Upcoming Samsung TVs to Support Google Assistant & Amazon's Alexa
Google raised some eyebrows at last year's CES , when the company all but declared war on Amazon's Alexa and other rivals. Another big part of this success for Google has been how much it has been pushing the Assistant lately.

Head coach Luke Walton was already without James (groin), Rajon Rondo (finger) and Michael Beasley (personal reasons) for the loss to the Thunder and will hope Kuzma does not make his injury list any longer.

Without James, Rondo and Kuzma, the Lakers suffered perhaps their worst loss of the season when the 9-29 New York Knicks beat them 119-112 at Staples Center, in which L.A. trailed 22-5 after just six minutes of action.

"[James] is receiving daily treatment by the team's training and medical staff and continues to progress with his recovery", the Lakers said in a statement.

In his first year with the Lakers this season, James has largely maintained the production that fans have come to expect.
