OnePlus today announced the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition in partnership with automotive company McLaren.

Encased in the box is McLaren's logo, the iconic Speedmark, recreated in McLaren-designed F1 AA grade carbon fibre - the same material used in the McLaren MCL33 2018 Formula 1 auto.

Whether you are a fan of supercars or an F1 fanatic, you will be well-versed with McLaren's history.

The OnePlus 6T McLaren edition doesn't exactly come as a surprise since it was detailed extensively in leaks last week.

Remember when I said that the Thunder Purple version of the OnePlus 6T was probably my favorite Android phone of 2018? Over six F1 cars' worth of carbon fibre was used in the production of the Speed marks. It's interesting OnePlus chose to launch a new charger alongside a limited edition smartphone like this, but it's a nice bonus all the same.

"Say no to raw dough" says the CDC
The CDC reported that in 2016, more than 60 people across the United States were sickened with E. coli from raw flour. Follow the recipe or package directions for cooking or baking at the proper temperature and for the specified time.

Speaking ahead of the event OnePlus CEO Pete Lau said, "McLaren and OnePlus were born latest - with a big dream to create something special". The device first launched yesterday in Woking, London. Aside from bumping up the RAM and increasing storage to 256GB, the specs are the same as the normal OnePlus 6T. The company is yet to set up a Live Stream of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition launch event.

OnePlus has developed a habit of keep making different variants of a device after its initial launch.

The device will be available in North America and Western Europe from December 13th.

All factors considered, it really wouldn't surprise us if the phone will cost about the same or more when it finally arrives in Malaysia.

If you have questions about the McLaren Edition 6T, let us know in the comment section. India, China, and Nordic countries will get the phone "soon after".

The McLaren 6T is also speedier in getting back to full strength, thanks to OnePlus' new standard Warp Charge 30, which is supposed to give you "a day's power" in 20 minutes. Do stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more similar news and updates. There's also McLaren's iconic Papaya Orange stripe around the bottom edges of the device. Nothing is visible in plain sight, but OnePlus has utilised the power of Augmented Reality to unlock a cool hidden secret inside the box. With Warp Charge 30, OnePlus claims you will be able to charge the device's 3,700mAh battery up to 50% in just 20 minutes.
