The Cavaliers reunite with Dellavedova, who was a member of the team from 2013-2016.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly trading George Hill and Sam Dekker for two players and first round and second round draft picks, according to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The first-round pick that Milwaukee sent to the Cavs has lottery protections and might not convey until as late as 2024 because the Bucks owe a future first-rounder to the Phoenix Suns that might not convey until 2021.

Cleveland trades George Hill to Milwaukee and Sam Dekker to Washington.

Sexton, the No. 8 overall pick in the June draft, has already heard stories about Dellavedova.

Milwaukee gets two benefits from the trade: 2019-20 savings and a talent upgrade.

Dellavedova spent the first three seasons of his National Basketball Association career in Cleveland, posting averages of 5.7 points, 3.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds per game.

Milwaukee coach Mike Budenholzer said he is excited to reunite with Hill; Hill spent the first three seasons of his career with the San Antonio Spurs, where Budenholzer was an assistant.

On the surface, Dellavedova's stats of 1.7 points per game on 32 percent shooting don't indicate that he will move the needle for the Cleveland Cavaliers. "They say he practices hard, too, so we're going to have some battles".

Hill has averaged 10.8 points and 2.8 assists so far this season in Cleveland, and is shooting better than 51 percent from the field and an impressive 46.4 percent from the 3-point line. He has been out most of this season with a wrist injury.

Hill (6-3, 188) appeared in 37 games (all starts) for Cleveland after being acquired by the Cavaliers on February 8, 2018, averaging 9.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 27.4 minutes per game over that span. Dekker (6-9, 230), who was acquired by Cleveland on August 7, 2018, played in nine games (five starts) for the Cavs this season, averaging 6.3 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.22 steals in 18.8 minutes per game.

The Cavaliers play Washington in Cleveland on Sunday AEDT although it's unclear if Dellavedova will be cleared in time to play.
