Salman Khan Tops Forbes India Highest Earning Celebrity List For Third Time

The 2018 Forbes India Celebrity 100 List rankings are based on estimates of entertainment-related earnings of celebrities.

Deepika is the only woman to be in the top ten this year with Alia Bhatt making it to the 12th spot in the list.

Bollywood actor Salma Khan, with an earning of Rs 253.25, is on the top of the list for the third consecutive time. The second spot was captured by Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli, with Rs 228.09 crore to his name, to become the first sportsperson to reach the position. She started her year with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus, Padmaavat that had domestic box office collection of more than Rs. 300 crores. Akshay recently starred in Rajinikanth's 2.0, who also features on the list (more on that later).

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is at number 3 with Rs 185 crore total earnings while actress Deepika Padukone bags the number 4 slot with Rs 112.8 crore earnings. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, is at the fifth place with Rs 101.77 crore.

15 actors from the South film fraternities featured on the list, with Nayanthara being the only female actor on the list from the region. While Bumrah is 60th on the list of top-earning celebrities with earnings of Rs 16.42, Pandey stood 77th with Rs 13.08 crores in his pocket.
