MI and Florida last played against each other in the 2017 regular season, with the Wolverines winning 33-17. "I think it would have been an exciting matchup and created a lot of interest, but we also think our game with MI is an exciting matchup, too".

The Florida Gators are officially headed to a prestigious New Year's Six bowl.

"We are excited to have been selected to play in a bowl game and for the opportunity to face a good Western Michigan team in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl", BYU head coach Kalani Sitake said in a team press release. "I'm proud of our team of how they have embraced everything this year and finished strong and now they get the reward of playing in a high-profile bowl game for the opportunity to win 10 games". On Sunday, Harbaugh told reporters that MI defensive lineman Rashan Gary will not play in the bowl game, however, that is not the case when it comes to Florida's nickelback.

"That motivation's there from that loss that we took", Runyan said.

"I'm so proud of this guy for what he's done this year, I can't even tell you". I worked so hard this week with my teammates.

"That would be a lot of fun", he said then. You see they can come at you from every level of the defense and have great players that can make great plays at each level of the defense. "Anybody else, I would have been excited to play". First of all, it's ridiculous to think that losing to one of the best teams in the country is embarrassing.

Question: Do you really think Florida fans are going to be ultra-excited about seeing the Gators play MI yet again? The artist formerly known as the Miami Beach Bowl will feature an OH team that will score in bunches against a San Diego State team that's been miserable the last month of the season. "And UCF had played in Atlanta previous year so that sort of set them in the Fiesta Bowl". Prior to that, the results were much closer with MI beating Florida 38-30 in the 2003 Outback Bowl and 41-35 in the 2008 Capital One Bowl.

For the eighth-ranked Wolverines, the game is a consolation prize after their College Football Playoff hopes were crushed in a 62-39 loss at Ohio State last week.
