The pop singer dropped the much anticipated music video for her hit song "thank you, next" on November 30, and in the process managed to overload the online video platform.

Grande opens the video as Regina George from 2004's "Mean Girls".

"One of the things that was so much fun was watching how excited Ari was to be with her friends, recreating one of her favorite movies and just having a good time", he told TooFab.

"And they were like, 'No, no, we want you to be Aaron Samuels, '" he continued.

The track's wild popularity has made Grande Spotify's most-streamed artist.

Ariana's new video dropped hours after the singer scored a third week at the top of the United Kingdom charts with Thank U, Next.

President Donald Trump says the "very close" to a deal with China on tariffs, but he adds that "I don't know that I want to do it".

Grande also mentioned her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died in September.

The company tweeted that Grande "broke the internet" and that comments on her video were showing up on a delay. "That's normally what's in a music video".

Grande's one-time Victorious co-star Matt Bennett, Mean Girls' Jonathan Bennett and Stefanie Drummond, Dynasty actress Elizabeth Gillies (looking a lot like Lindsay Lohan from Mean Girls), singer Troye Sivan and YouTube stars Colleen Ballinger and Gabi DeMartino were also included.

Well hello, momager Kris Jenner as Amy Poehler's "cool mom" character from Mean Girls.

In her Legally Blonde entrance, Grande drives a Porsche with a licence plate that says "7 Rings" - the internet thinks this is a reference to friendship rings she and her six best friends have. Hense the song. But you may have missed where it says "Sry I dipped" on Pete Davidson's page.

Legally Blonde's Jennifer Coolidge - portrayed as Paulette Bonaforte - was also seen giving sound advises in the song. During the "bend and snap" portion, a mail delivery man shows up to dance with Coolidge, but instead of UPS, the patch sewn onto his uniform says "BDE", yet another Penis Davidson joke (BDE stands for big d- energy, and it originally came from a Twitter thread describing Davidson's confident demeanor).
