November 29, 2018: Anyone who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26-29, 2018 will have access to Red Dead Online.

Rockstar has finally revealed when Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer mode will launch: it will initially debut tomorrow, November 27.

Rockstar is calling this a beta that will eventually morph into a full release, so expect bugs, strangeness, and lots of changes-not unlike GTA Online when that first launched in 2013.

"As with most online experiences of this size and scale, there will inevitably be some turbulence at launch, and we look forward to working with our wonderful and dedicated community to share ideas, help us fix teething problems and work with us to develop Red Dead Online into something really fun and innovative".

Here's the day and date you can start playing the Red Dead Online beta.

All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26th to October 29th according to our data. Rockstar tells Variety that you'll be able to create posses to ride with friends, take on some number of narrative-driven missions, and do all the hunting and fishing you could in the main game.

If you want to play solo, that's absolutely fine.

As you may know, Rockstar Games has been very quiet about Red Dead Online. It also looks like the camp at the center of the Red Dead Redemption 2 campaign will return in some form for the multiplayer outing, with camp improvements available for purchase.

Looking at the Achievements and Trophies in Red Dead Redemption 2 we can see that players will be rewarded for forming a persistent Posse, much like GTA Online gangs.

"Access to Red Dead Online is free to anyone with a copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 on either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One". You can choose to ignore them if you wish, or join them with other players.
