As for the technical details, Honda's keeping mum there as well, although we expect that the Passport will incorporate powertrains already in service in the automaker's current lineup of models. Honda designed and developed the Passport in the USA, and it will enter production in Lincoln, Alabama, alongside the Pilot.

"The new Passport is a more personal, powerful and off-road-capable SUV that hits the sweet spot between daily driving comfort and weekend off-road, all-weather adventure capability", said Henio Arcangeli, Jr., senior vice president of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. In turn, it provided trucks to its partner, including both the Honda Passport and the Acura SLX.

Introduced in 1993, the first generation was nothing more than a badge-engineered Isuzu Rodeo. This facility is where the Odyssey minivan, Pilot mid-size crossover utility vehicle, and Ridgeline sport utility truck are manufactured, which means the Passport will share underpinnings with these three. A report from Automotive News earlier this year indicated the new Passport will ride on the same platform as the Pilot, although it will be 6 inches shorter.

In 2018, she began participating in Formula 3, which is regarded by many as a major stepping stone for Formula 1 hopefuls. "Just wanted to let everybody know that I am fine but will be going into surgery tomorrow morning", she said.

The reveal event will take place on November 27 at 3:30pm PST (and will be livestreamed), a day before it makes its global debut at the LA Auto Show. The pace of growth is expected to continue, albeit at a slower pace, according to forecasts by the likes of IHS Markit. Honda pulled the Passport from the market in 2002 in favor of the more car-like Pilot.

That said, the challenge will be to ensure that the new Passport doesn't simply cannibalize Honda's existing models but conquests customers from competitors.

Honda has confirmed the all-new Passport for LA Auto Show, bringing back a familiar nameplate after 16 years of absence.
