Sams said the new hardware doesn't mean that Microsoft is giving up on distributing games via disc.

While the cheapest Xbox One devices cost around $300, this disc-less Xbox device would reportedly retail for under $200.

Given Microsoft's original digital game-focused launch strategy for the Xbox One, this move definitely isn't surprising, particularly as purchasing games digitally becomes increasingly common.

Many people mostly Bollywood actors have posted wishes and congratulatory messages for the couple on social media. Ranveer Singh also published the two photographs on his own Instagram, but they earned fewer likes, 3.5 million.

If you do already have a collection of physical games for your Xbox One, Microsoft will have a " disc-to-digital" program, according to Thurrott, in which owners will be able to trade in their discs for download codes.

If you like this kind of information, this content was uncovered while writing my upcoming book about Surface called Beneath a Surface (pre-order), which contains this information, along with the story of how Microsoft built its billion-dollar hardware brand.

According to Thurrott's sources, Microsoft could be planning a new version of the Xbox One for release in 2019 that doesn't include a disc drive. (They also may have wanted to avoid upsetting game retailers like GameStop and Best Buy.) A Nielsen survey from earlier this year found that 66% of console players still prefer physical media. Sams says that price could come in at $199 "or lower", a significant reduction from the system's current $299 starting price (but not as compelling compared to $199 deals for the Xbox One and PS4 planned for Black Friday this year). I had initially heard in the spring of 2019 was the target as this device is well on its path to production.
