Chris Evans, Hugh Jackman, more mourn the passing of Stan Lee

The news outfit was made aware of the death by Lee's daughter.

On Monday, Stan Lee was reportedly rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles after his health deteriorated, where he was later declared dead. Lee later died at the nearby Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. We're told that's where he died. RIP. From there, he helped create some of the most popular comic book, TV, a film characters ever, including the X-Men, the Avengers, Black Panther, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, and Daredevil.

His creations inspired many over the years and have reached an even wider audience thanks to the movie adaptations in which he often cameoed.

Chris Evans is among the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) stars that have paid tribute to Stan Lee.

The man leading those next stages of Marvel's growth wore his heart on his sleeve in a statement after Lee's death at 95-years old today.

"Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created, said Bob Iger on this holiday Monday".

As fans everywhere mourn the passing of Stan Lee, one question remains: will the late Marvel icon have a cameo in the upcoming "Avengers" sequel?

Fellow creators in talking about Lee and his influence on the industry and pop culture spoke to his ability to connect with readers and fans in a meaningful and memorable way. He is still considered as one of the main force behind the rise of Marvel.

"Hi, heroes. This is Stan, and I'm really just making this little Twitter piece because I want you to know how much I appreciate all the messages you've been sending", Lee says in his first video posted in May 2018.

Of course, based on Yankee Stadium's appearances, you'd think he hated it.

"Thanks for everything", said Ryan Reynolds, star of Marvel's "Deadpool" franchise.

Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr shared a photo of himself with the comic book legend on Instagram, saying: "I owe it all to you".
