Warriors' Curry suffers abductor strain in loss to Bucks

We'll be back for more Bucks talk next week, most likely following the conclusion of their west coast road trip. Golden State barely escaped the seven-game series against them.

The Bucks' last four opponents have averaged 113.3 points per game, while the Warriors have held just one opponent under 100 points all season, that being Minnesota in a 116-99 victory last Friday.

Other than the back-to-back issue, the Nets will take the Oakland court as healthy as ever this season, with DeMarre Carroll having made his season debut in Denver.

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook missed his second straight game with a sprained left ankle, but with West-brook offering advice and energy from the bench Oklahoma City didn't miss a beat. He dished out six assists in 26 minutes. It has led the Bucks to give plenty of playing time to Ersan Ilyasova and John Henson, both of whom are better in all facets outside of scoring. Milwaukee has far better depth than often credited for, although its top end talents of Antetokounmpo and Middleton are what carries it. Perhaps the only thing that can stop this dynasty is it, itself.

Klay Thompson led the Warriors with 24 points and Durant had 17 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

But the coach's main concern was with Golden State's complacency as it fell to 10-2, hoping the loss to the Bucks (9-2) will provide a reminder of the difficulties of the National Basketball Association.

Curry, limited to 51 regular-season games last season because of injuries, scored 10 points in his second straight game below 20 after getting at least 23 points in every game previously - including five 30-point performances and a 51-point outing in three quarters.

The league's 10th-leading scorer (25.8 points per game) was talking defense, not offense, after the game.

The Warriors faced the Cleveland Cavaliers in the last four NBA Finals, but without star player LeBron James, the Cavaliers have plummeted to the bottom of the league.
