Aerosmith's Joe Perry Hospitalized After Collapse

The 68-year-old rocker surprised the crowd when he joined Joel for a cover of "Walk This Way" during the Saturday night show, but needed needed medical assistance in his dressing room, EW reported.

The rocker's publicist, Marcee Rondan, released a statement to WENN on Sunday, confirming the news and revealing he "experienced shortness of breath and was treated backstage by paramedics who gave the guitarist oxygen".

Paramedics rushed to the scene and, per TMZ, reportedly worked on Perry for more than 40 minutes in his dressing room before eventually taking him to the hospital.

The rock band have announced an 18-date Las Vegas residency entitled Deuces Are Wild for April 2019 which will coincide with their 50th anniversary; the shows will begin on 6 April at the Park Theater at the new Park MGM in Sin City, with the final date now scheduled for 9 July.

Perry recently announced a new single and solo tour.

Perry was forced to cancel an appearance that day for obvious reasons, however, his rep indicated he was hopeful he would "return to the road later this month".
