Housley added to ET that his wife Tamera Mowry-Housely is devastated following the news and his family will continue to mourn, but hope to celebrate her young life and kindness. "We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time".

DFA said it continues to monitor the situation to find out if other Filipinos and Filipino-Americans were killed or injured in the incident.

The suitemate replied saying she had already been in contact with Mowry's husband, Adam, who is a former Fox News correspondent.

Their niece, Alaina Housley, was at the bar and has not yet been accounted for. The Los Angeles Times reported that friends of those who were inside the venue said the crowd included survivors of last year's horrific mass shooting at the Route 91 music festival in Las Vegas.

Alaina Housley was just 18 and a freshman at Pepperdine University. "Her Apple Watch and iPhone still showed her location on the dance floor".

Borderline Bar and Grill, a popular country venue, was hosting its weekly college night when the attack occurred on Wednesday.

Adam told the newspaper, "My gut is saying she's inside the bar, dead". "She is wearing denim shorts, a blue flannel and sneakers", wrote the friend.

Mowry-Housley's twin sister Tia Mowry, also from the show "Sister, Sister", later posted a photo with Alaina on Instagram, writing, "Alaina Housely we are praying".

The gunman, identified by authorities as former Marine Ian David Long, was also killed.
