Ahead of an upcoming software update, Google is offering Pixel 3 owners free money for their troubles. This doesn't mean that memory management will be completely fixed for Google and the Pixel 3.

According to a Google spokesperson, this update will fix the memory issues by keeping "background apps from being prematurely closed". These include an app time limit feature as the ability to silence notifications just by flipping your Pixel so that the screen is face-down. However, with the recent some users have problems. They also stated that the pictures they took were not saved and loses data of what they've protected. The credit can be used to buy an app or games on the Play Store, but not for subscriptions or in-app purchases. The source states that the devices which received the security update have a more enhanced picture-in-picture feature.

Combined with the excellent camera performance on the Pixel 3 flagship duo, the end result is that Google has a rather compelling incentive.
