The prequel show Better Call Saul has been renewed for a fifth season, and now it has been reported that series creator Vince Gilligan is about to start shooting a Breaking Bad movie. Today, the film feels like a probability - and the series' original star Bryan Cranston is the one dropping the details.

Basically, all we know right now is that the movie - which has apparently been floating around under the working title (or is it a fake title?) of Greenbrier - is apparently in the works! In the finale episode, Jack Welker (Michael Bowen), the uncle of Todd Alquist (Jesse Plemons) and the leader of a White Supremacist Gang, brings a shackled Jesse to his compound, where Walt meant to meet them. Slashfilm reports the film, entitled Greenbriar, will follow the story of Heisenberg's tortured lackey Jesse Pinkman.

In a little under 48 hours, we've learned a lot about the surprise Breaking Bad movie.

The New Mexico Film Office has remained tight-lipped when questioned about the project and is sticking to the "Greenbrier" project name.

In an interview on Thursday, Cranston acknowledged speaking to Gilligan about the movie but said he hadn't yet received or read the script.

Pot legalized in Michigan. Now what?
Impose a 10-ounce limit for marijuana kept at residences and require amounts over 2.5 ounces be secured in locked containers. Governor Gary Herbert has said he would call a special legislative session to take up that proposed law later this month.

"We're very proud of our show and Better Call Saul".

Currently, it still hasn't been confirmed if the film will release in theatres or online streaming giants, however, it would mark Gilligan's first project with Sony TV in a three-year deal he signed with them in July.

Appearing on "The Dan Patrick Show" after reports surfaced about the spin-off, Cranston responded: "Yes, there appears to be a movie version of "Breaking Bad".

In the entertainment industry, what prompts a studio to throw money at a project has changed, Buckmaster says. "But I'm excited about it, because it's Breaking Bad", he said.

Breaking Bad filmed in New Mexico for six years, and Better Call Saul had filmed there as well. One of AMC's other flagship shows, The Walking Dead, announced earlier this week that their title character Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, would be spun off into a trio of feature-length movies that will air on the cable network.
