Now, Amazon may create two separate 25,000-person campuses, in part due to the need to hire enough tech talent. Amazon has fuelled an economic boom in its hometown of Seattle, where it is also often blamed for traffic problems and skyrocketing housing costs that squeeze some residents out of the city.

Instead, the company has reportedly made a decision to split up its massive second command post into two separate locations-with one half of HQ2 now very likely to land in our city.

Speculation is also building that an announcement about which city will get HQ2 could come this month after Tuesday's midterm elections, according to the Washington Post story. The District, Northern Virginia and Montgomery are among the 20 finalists and Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser launched a joint-effort to land the online-retail behemoth in the DMV.

The Washington metropolitan area was long considered a top contender for Amazon's second headquarters.

The Merseysiders were noticeably less intense than usual at the Emirates, though did take the lead shortly after the restart through Milner only to be pegged back late on by Alexandre Lacazette.

South Florida leaders said Monday that Amazon is still in discussions about bringing high-skilled workers to Miami, despite reports in other media that might indicate otherwise. Officials aren't turning down the hyperbole any time soon - New York Governor Cuomo recently joked that he'd change his name to "Amazon Cuomo" if it guaranteed a headquarters in the state.

Amazon has reportedly narrowed down the list of locations for its second headquarters.

Crystal City is served by a mass transit system and major highways, both qualifications that Amazon has said is required for its new headquarters as well.
