New Overwatch Cinematic Reveals Two New Heroes

While Kaplan teased that Echo will eventually be a playable hero-perhaps number 30-the biggest reveal of his presentation is that Ashe will be the newest hero joining Overwatch's ever-expanding roster.

Pretty epic stuff! Certainly a lot of teases for new characters in there - you get the feeling that the mysterious robot from the end, Echo, will join the Overwatch eventually, but, for now, Blizzard is focusing on the white-haired, rifle-wielding badass, Ashe.

The "Reunion" short opened up on McCree eating at a diner with an appropriately Western tune playing in the background before opening up to the wider world of Overwatch to set the stage for the short.

The Overwatch Twitter tweeted the short alongside the message: "An explosive train robbery gives McCree the chance to settle some unfinished business with a few former associates".

At the "Overwatch: What's Next" panel, game developers said Bob was almost a hero unto himself and joked that Ashe is hero 29, but Bob is hero 29.5. She can call down a giant robot named B.O.B whenever she's ready to use her ultimate. Blizzard didn't give a release date but she should be available within the month. "The explosion from Dynamite also lights enemies on fire, dealing damage over time". When using her ult, B.O.B will jump in front of Ashe and run forward; he will knock up the first targets he runs into then stop to shoot.
