The Korean tech giant is reportedly still in discussion about finalizing the two foldable screen prototypes, which are now under development.

Despite a considerable amount of progress in recent months, it is expected that Australia's equivalent 5G networks will be a while off yet.

The foldable smartphone can go two ways at the moment. The goal is to secure support from the biggest USA carrier to popularize the technology.

Talks about Samsung looking to offer the in-display fingerprint scanner on their device has been going on for some time now and it looks like we might finally be seeing it on the Samsung Galaxy S10. There are apparently three cameras on the rear of the phone, while Samsung is also said to be experimenting with hiding the front camera under the screen. The model could replace Samsung's existing Galaxy A lineup altogether as it hopes to win consumers with the pull of Galaxy S branding. Since the notch houses just the camera, it will allow Samsung to make a small notch on the top with all the other sensors embedded inside the frame of the device.

To start, we're now supposed to expect not only a Galaxy S10 (codenamed "beyond") with in-display fingerprint reader, but Plus and cheaper models too. Samsung is widely anticipated to launch three models of its flagship Galaxy S10 next year. The reason we are saying this is because Samsung is giving its customers more choice when it comes to buying a new smartphone. "Please stay tuned", Samsung told Bloomberg in a statement.

Reportedly, Samsung and Google have been working on producing a unique version of Android OS for the phone, whose final user interface will depend largely on which design is chosen. Both are supposed to "open from side and side". This new third model of phone would be visually and functionally different than the two curved Infinity Display models, however, with a flat screen and likely a standard fingerprint sensor.

Screen orientation is reportedly a sticking point here, with the company ultimately opting for a design that opens like an old school flip phone. As per the report, the display is coated with a film that is basically used in photography. The company is struggling to figure out technical problems that may arise during mass production including possibility of this foldable display cracking into dried paper.

Recently in China at the launch of the Galaxy A6s and the Galaxy A9s, Samsung unveiled a sort of teaser for an upcoming device of theirs that sent the people into a tizzy.
