Xiaomi officially launched their newest device, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, revealing a move get creative in implementing a truly bezel-less display.

The phone supports wireless charging, but unlike every other phone that does so, it also comes with a 10W wireless charger in the box.

The "bezel-less" handset is about to be announced tomorrow, but a leaked poster from a Chinese store depicts a new and bold dark green color for the casing.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 comes with a 3,850mAh battery, but considering its size, the company should have incorporated a bigger 4,000mAh cell.

Xiaomi will also launch a 5G-ready Mi MIX 3 later in the first quarter of 2019.

The Mi MIX 3 is armed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, with the base model offering 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The main camera setup is similar to the one on the iPhone XS, with a dual, 12-megapixel sensor. Both the front and rear facing unit will be dual lens cameras.

Joint Saudi-Turkish Team Finds Khashoggi Killing Was Premeditated
Prince Mohammed promised on Wednesday that the killers would be brought to justice, in his first public comments on the matter. A photograph of the meeting showed Salah staring coldly at the prince as the pair shook hands.

This is the first time the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite is going to be available outside China.

The Mi Mix 3 Palace Museum Edition which is the only variant that offers 10GB of RAM can be obtained for CNY 4999 (~RM 3002). Video-wise, the phone can also shoot 960 fps slow-mo and 4K at 60 fps.

According to Xiaomi, the company "has dedicated substantial resources to the production process to ensure the slider has a life expectancy of 300,000 cycles in lab tests".

The phone also lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is underwhelming to see on a mid-range handset. There are four cameras in total: a pair of 12MP cameras on the back (one wide-angle and the other a telephoto shooter), and 24MP and a 2MP front-facing cameras.

Aforesaid, the new variant will be available at Rs 19,999, but as an introductory offer, Xiaomi will be selling the phone for Rs 17,999. Next week, Huawei's sister-brand Honor will release its Magic 2 with the manual slider, and Lenovo too wants to bring a similarly designed phone in the market. Xiaomi claims that this is its best camera tuning and algorithm yet, but we'll believe it when we get to go deeper with our own review unit later. That will give you the baseline model that comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. We expect Xiaomi could retain the pricing structure. The Xioami Mi Mix 3 starts at 3,299 RMB, around $475, for the 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage config all the way up to 3,999 RMB ($575) for 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of storage. The phone will go on sale in China starting on November 1, while Xiaomi did not share the Mi MIX 3's global availability info just yet, but it will soon.
