If you do cop a malware infection, Titan M stops the code from trying to unlock the bootloader and alter low-level system stuff, according to Google.

Taiwan is among the first wave of 13 markets for the global launch of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Peter Prunuske, R&D vice president of Google, said at a product event held in Taipei recently.

The Titan M has been integrated into the boot process for the Pixel 3.

The Power Support Air Jacket is probably not the fanciest protective cover option out there, but it should get the job done competently enough to sweeten the Google Pixel 2 XL deal just a little bit more.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison this morning said it was "regrettable" Government senators voted in favour of the motion. She did not provide or cite any data to back her claims.

The Titan M is also used by the Pixel 3 to verify your lock screen passcode and limit the amount of log-in attempts. Google says the Pixel 3 is the first device to ship with this capability.

The Titan M's "secure flash and fully independent computation" harden the phone against attackers seeking to forcibly decrypt data stored on the handheld, we're told. This is in addition to Google's own Pay service. In Android 9 Pie, developers can use the StrongBox KeyStore APIs to store private keys in the Titan M chip.

Additionally, apps can use another API called Protected Confirmation to perform security-critical operations using Titan M. Google suggests applications like e-voting and P2P money transfers could utilize this API. Google says it took the best features from its Titan chip used in its cloud data centres and tailored it for mobile. The firmware on the Titan M can only be updated with a successful passcode attempt.

The telco has announced that both the Pixel smartphones - Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have arrived on the Airtel online store.
