It smashed the previous record, a $656 million jackpot that was split three ways in 2012.

The grand prize for Tuesday night's drawing has grown so enormous because no one has won the jackpot since July 24.

Unfortunately, even as the big prize for Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing increases to the fourth-largest in US history, the odds of matching all six numbers and winning the game don't improve.

While the jackpot stands at the fourth largest potential jackpot in U.S history, jackpot for the next Powerball will be $345 million for the drawing this Wednesday.

A wave of attacks by the Taliban and the Daesh in recent months, however, has poured cold water on the nascent optimism for peace. The Taliban captured 11 soldiers and seized their weapons, added Gul Ahmad Faqiri, a member of the Farah provincial council.

The Powerball numbers drawn Saturday were 11-14-32-43-65 and the Powerball was 15. The amount you will win is likely $0, because the odds of winning either jackpot are one in several hundred million.

The drawing is scheduled to happen at 10 p.m. Tuesday.

At $667 million, someone holding a lone winning ticket would have the option of taking a cash payout of $380 million, according to the game's website. The prize money was shared between ticket holders across multiple states with more than a billion tickets sold in that single drawing. Powerball officials announced that Wednesday's jackpot reached $345 million.
