A year ago in November, popular gaming company Razer launched its first smartphone - the Razer Phone.

The Razer Phone 2 is designed just how a gaming smartphone should be, with a boxy and compact feel in the hand that makes holding it for hours much easier and enjoyable.

The Razer Phone 2 has been priced at $799.99, which is roughly around Rs. 59,500 on conversion. It comes in a Satin finish and will be made available at a later date. The display comes with a 16:9 aspect ratio though the variable refresh rate continues to be the same at up to 120Hz. The phone supports HDR and DCI-P3 wide color gamut aimed at improved gaming visuals.

The Razer Phone 2 comes with dual front-firing stereo speakers that have a dedicated amplifier each. Otherwise it's quick-charge via USB-C, just as it was in the original Razer phone. The Razer Phone 2 is powered with the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 Chipset along with 8GB of RAM on the board.

As mentioned earlier, the Razer Phone 2 comes with 64GB and 128GB in-built storage options, both of which are expandable via microSD card by up to 1TB.

The biggest letdown is arguably that the Razer Phone 2 is launching with Android 8.1 (with Nova Launcher) rather than Android Pie, though Razer says it is working on an update to Pie that will come later.

Jose Mourinho's touchline comments may be investigated by lip reader
The Manchester United midfielder was dramatically stripped of the vice-captaincy at Old Trafford last month by Mourinho. It puts pressure on the manager. "That allows me to relay messages and have the chance to be heard", he said .

The phone has a dual camera on the back with 12 megapixels f/1.75 wide-angle lens and 12MP f/2.6 aperture telephoto lens. The sensor is compatible with Dual Pixel AF and optical image stabilization (OIS) technologies. Since the device is aimed primarily for gaming, there needs to be a way to keep the device cooler to prevent the internals from frying, and this time around Razer took a different approach and implemented a "vapour chamber" cooling system.

On the outside, the Razer Phone 2 combines an aluminum frame with a new glass rear panel to enable wireless charging up to 15 watts.

The Razer Phone 2 has been optimised for today's hottest mobile titles like "PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds Mobile (PUBG Mobile)", "Rival Crimson x Chaos", "Marvel Future Fight", "Guns of Boom", "RuneScape" and more.

To improve the mobile gaming experience, Razer also announced the Razer Raiju Mobile and Razer Hammerhead USB-C ANC. The new display is also now 50 per cent brighter than the one in the first Razer Phone. The Chroma software allows users to synchronize the Razer Logo on the back to match the colors on your screen. For a fee, you can purchase various accessories for your smartphone, for example, a wireless charger for $100, a leather case for $40 and protection for a display for $20.

One of the most identifiable features about the Razer Phone 2 is its illuminated logo that sits on the back of the product.

The Razer Phone 2 is available for pre-order right now over on Razer.com for customers in the USA, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
