Last week, Todd Phillips posted an Instagram picture of Phoenix without makeup, giving us a small taste of what the Clown Prince of Crime would look like and fans have been eager to see the actor in full makeup.

"Joker." Opening on a makeup/wardrobe test slate that describes the look as "full white", the footage first shows Phoenix's Arthur standing in a mustard yellow jacket, his hands in his pockets and his disheveled half-mullet hair-do hanging around his unassuming but clearly tired face. And though this is just a rough glimpse at it without any post-production touch-ups, it's clear that the team's going for a Cesar Romero look, who played Mr. J on the Batman TV show from the '60s.

What do you think about Joaquin Phoenix's latest Joker reveal? Now director Todd Phillips is showing off the clown makeup.

Rafale-deal: Hollande's bombshell catches BJP in crossfire, opposition strengthens attack
Francois Hollande was president when Modi visited France and signed an $8.7 billion deal for Dassault Aviation Rafale aircraft in 2016.

Warner Bros has described the film as a story of a normal man pushed to bad - "a man disregarded by society (that's) not only a gritty character study but also a broader cautionary tale".

His Joker look is more towards the usual clown look instead of the slightly decaying air given off by Heath Ledger's version. This may not be his final look, since "Joker" is an origin story about Arthur finding his insane self. At the first mention of a Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie that exists outside of DC's already established movie universe, I was skeptical.

Footage leaked earlier this week showed Joaquin Phoenix in character as the Joker for the first time. The film's tentative release date is October 4, 2019.
