Brett Kavanaugh: Judge accuser agrees to testify next week

This weekend, a particularly complex question is rippling across America.

"Well, we've got 11 politicians who haven't done a trial in about 20 years", Graham said. Sens. Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins, both moderate Republicans, are waiting for the outcome of the hearing before deciding how to vote on Kavanaugh's confirmation.

Keyser is the third individual to contradict Ford's claim they were present at the party where the alleged sexual assault occurred. Ford told the Washington Post that Kavanaugh groped her, attempted to remove her bathing suit and held his hand over her mouth when she tried to scream.

Her allegations have delayed the confirmation of Judge Kavanaugh.

While Judge and Smyth's statements backing up Kavanaugh's denials could be written off as friends protecting their fellow Georgetown Prep classmate, Keyser's statement cannot.

We've been here before.

The Judiciary Committee released a letter it sent to Ford's attorneys on Friday in which it accepted some of their demands, including that Kavanaugh not be in the room when she testifies. That he repeatedly asked her to go out with him socially (she refused).

Kavanaugh "categorically and unequivocally" denied doing anything of the sort. He was eventually confirmed, by 52 votes to 48. "'I can not live in this country if he's in the Supreme Court'". The details of the hearing still need to be "ironed out", but if Ford had not made a decision to testify, the committee would have voted on Kavanaugh's nomination on Monday. Neither of these conditions are likely to be met.

Ms Ford's lawyers previously said she had "been the target of vicious harassment" in the wake of her claims and was forced to leave her home.

"Unless there's something more, no I'm not going to ruin Judge Kavanaugh's life over this", he said. And his family has also been the recipient of threats.

Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL Leak In Highest-Resolution Render Yet
Reports says that the Pixel 3 will sport a 5.5-inch display, while the Pixel 3 XL's display will measure in at 6.2-inches. Also, a Twitter user is still hard at work, posting away details from a unit, apparently in his possession, as we speak.

"Dr. Ford if u changed ur mind say so so we can move on", Grassley tweeted. According to a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll, 38% of registered voters now oppose Kavanaugh's confirmation, while 34% support it.

So much for proper process. "So Republicans, no matter what happens in the midterms, can push a Supreme Court nominee through until the end of the year".

Trump's outburst saw a new #MeToo era hashtag storm the internet, with people - mostly women - sharing why they did not report being assaulted under the Twitter hashtag #WhyIDidntReport.

If Ford doesn't testify on Monday, the public hearing would be canceled.

Still, only 35 percent of respondents said Kavanaugh should withdraw his Supreme Court nomination.

Like the Fox survey, the NBC/WSJ poll dates back to 2005, and Kavanaugh's numbers are the worst it has recorded - including the numbers for Harriet Miers, whose nomination was ultimately withdrawn.

And that's ultimately what this is all about. At the same time, more voters disapprove (52 percent) than approve (44 percent) of the president. Finally, a staggering 25% of American women will be sexually assaulted during their lifetimes. Meanwhile, Republicans viewed Ford's requests as a way to delay voting on President Donald Trump's nominee.
