Two matches will be played today as part of "Super Four" stage in Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and which would ultimately decide two finalists, reported by PTV Sports Live.

Pakistan were off to a disastrous start when opener Fakhar Zaman was trapped leg-before off the sixth ball of the innings by spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman for nought.

Afghanistan has won two matches in the contest against Sri Lanka and Bangladesh while Pakistan is taking part in its second match, after losing to India by eight wickets.

Hashmatullah Shahidi is unbeaten on 25 runs.

Muhammad Nawaz may replace Shadab Khan who is facing an injury issue, and Shaheen Afridi may join the playing XI in replacement of Mohammad Amir whose inability to pick up wickets has become a major concern for the team management. He was bowled off a no ball when he was on 76 in the penultimate over.

Rahmat Shah and Mohammad Shahzad contributed 67 and 20 runs respectively with the bat.

The 63-run partnership between Shah and Shahidi steadied the ship for Afghanistan after the early setbacks. Not only Shoaib, even Pakistan's Hasan Ali was trying to cheer Aftab up.

Breakthrough not coming, Pakistan captain Sarfraz handed the ball back to Nawaz but Asghar creamed off 11 runs from his over, hitting a four and six, to end the long boundary drought.

With few overs left, Asghar started hitting each everything thrown at him and was bowled by Afridi after being dropped by Haris Sohail in the 42nd over.
