Three people killed in Maryland shooting, law official confirms

CNN reported Thursday morning that at least three individuals were killed and two others were wounded in the shooting.

Mike Carre, an employee of a furniture logistics operation next to the distribution centre where the violence erupted, says he helped tend to a wounded man.

A law enforcement official briefed on the incident said the suspect was at some point a security guard at the Rite Aid support facility where the shooting occurred. The Rite Aid distribution center sits among a number of warehouses.

She said her mother sent her a text message saying there was a shooter in the building and that she was hiding.

Deputies were dispatched at 9:09 a.m. ET, the sheriff's office tweeted.

The ATF and Federal Bureau of Investigation have confirmed they have agents responding to the scene.

Hogan also said authorities were "closely monitoring" the situation.

"Our prayers are with all those impacted, including our first responders", Hogan wrote on Twitter. "The State stands ready to offer any support".

The Harford County Sheriff's Office said the shooter, identified as 26-year-old Snochia Moseley of Baltimore County, has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Authorities are asking people to otherwise avoid the area.

The Maryland shooting suspect described herself on Facebook as a "quiet" person with a "to myself type of personality" - but also proclaimed that her favorite Bible verse was "an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth".

Police have reported there were "multiple victims", and the Harford County Sheriff's Office confirmed the shooting took place near Spesutia and Perryman roads in Aberdeen.

Andre Cedeno, 30, told The Baltimore Sun that his sister, Lea, was at the Rite Aid facility and he rushed there from his own workplace after he heard of the shooting. There is a church and a business park at that intersection.

A law enforcement source tells WBAL-TV's Jayne Miller that the suspect is a female and has been taken to a hospital.

"FBI Baltimore is responding & assisting @Harford_Sheriff with an Active Shooter situation".
