"At least that's what LeBron James" SpringHill Entertainment suggested with a post on Wednesday afternoon with a locker room featuring names and the iconic Tune Squad uniform.

Coogler's attachment comes in the wake of the blockbuster success of "Black Panther", which grossed more than $1.3 billion worldwide.

Coogler's name was included in a photo tweeted out Wednesday by SpringHill Entertainment, the entertainment company founded by National Basketball Association star LeBron James.

"I loved his vision", James said.

Coogler is producing Space Jam 2 with Terence Nance (Random Acts of Flyness, The Oversimplification of Her Beauty) set to direct. Nance is replacing Justin Lin (Fast & Furious franchise) who was one of the directors originally attached to the project.

The first official photo from Space Jam 2 has been released, and it reveals some new information about the long-awaited film. "It's so much bigger".

It will be James' first starring role in a Hollywood film, though he's not exactly a newcomer to the acting scene. "And I think Ryan did that for a lot of people".

The original Space Jam debuted in 1996 and starred Michael Jordan, playing himself, alongside a cast of Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes characters and the likes of Bill Murray and Wayne Knight. "So for Ryan to be able to bring that to kids, it's wonderful".

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Coogler will oversee production on the film with a planned start date following the end of the upcoming National Basketball Association season in June 2019.

Rumors of a "Space Jam" sequel have been swirling around the internet for years, but we may finally be seeing the movie start to take shape. Filming is expected to start during the 2019 National Basketball Association offseason.
