Cristiano Ronaldo thankful after scoring for Juventus

Portugal worldwide Cristiano Ronaldo on Sunday, September 16, scored his first goal for Italian champions Juventus in their 2-1 win over visiting Sassuolo.

"I really wanted to score these first goals and I'm happy to have found the net".

He's off the mark! The goals secured Juventus a 2-1 victory as it improved to 4-0 in Serie A competition.

The former Real Madrid superstar was in the best form of his life as he scored two goals for his new club after playing three games this season with scoring.

Sassuolo defender Gian Marco Ferrari could only head a Juventus corner onto the left post and Ronaldo was waiting to volley in a rebound from less than two yards out.

As Sassuolo tried to rush the ball back to the halfway line so that they could resume the game, Costa and Di Francesco clashed again.

Juventus, who are seeking a record-extending eighth successive Serie A title, are the only team in the division still with a flawless record.

Juve midfielder Douglas Costa was sent off in stoppage time after spitting at Federico Di Francesco having become involved in a running feud with the Sassuolo midfielder.
